How to Release the iPad from a Personal Apple ID Account Online

Follow these steps using a computer or another device with internet access:

Go to the Apple ID Account Page: Open a web browser (like Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge) and go to: https://appleid.apple.com/

Sign In: Sign in with your personal Apple ID (the email address) and password that was used on the iPad. You might need to enter a two-factor authentication code if you have that set up.

Find "Devices": Once you're signed in, look for a section called "Devices" on the left side of the page or near the bottom. Click on it.

Select the iPad: You'll see a list of all devices connected to your Apple ID. Find the iPad you want to release (it might be listed as "iPad" or "****'s iPad" if you named it). Click on that iPad in the list.

Remove from Account: A new page will open with details about that specific iPad. Scroll down to the bottom. You should see an option that says "Remove from Account". Click on this.

Confirm: You'll get a message asking you to confirm that you want to remove the device. Read it and then click "Remove" (or "Confirm") to finish.
