iPad Battery Drains Fast
The #1 battery killer is screen brightness. The most helpful thing you can do for your battery is to adjust the brightness of the screen.
- Go to Settings > Display & Brightness > slide the brightness down. Also, you can change the Auto-Lock to less time so that it will turn the screen off sooner if you are not using your iPad.
- You can also set up your iPad to adjust your screen to lighting conditions automatically. To activate it, go to Settings > Accessibility. Tap Display & Text Size, then turn on Auto-Brightness.
Other things you can do:
Identify Apps that are draining the battery:
- Tap Settings > Tap Battery > View the list of apps that appear under the charts and toggle between the two time frames to see which apps are the most power hungry.
Turn on Low Power Mode: Low Power Mode comes on automatically when your battery reaches 20 percent, but you can enable Low Power Mode at any time to save battery life. This setting reduces background activity and adjusts brightness after a period of inactivity. Here's how to enable it:
- Tap Settings > Tap Battery > Tap Low Power Mode to enable the setting
