Van Dyk Conference Room TV Instructions
Van Dyk Conference Room - Media Instructions (AirPlay, Zoom, external HDMI)
- Turn on the TV with the remote. Press the Green button. Be sure to be close enough and point remote at the IR receiver on the lower right side of the TV (the red light).
- The TV is OFF when the light is red.
- The TV is ON when the red light is off.
- Follow the instructions below depending on how you will use the TV.
AirPlay - Connecting an Apple Device:
- Wake up the AppleTV. With the AppleTV remote, press the menu button.
- Change the TV input to HDMI-1. This is the AppleTV input.
- Ensure your device (MacBook or iPad) is connected to the Wi-Fi network (VCHS-Guest or VC-Managed, etc).
- Screen Mirror your device to the AppleTV: HStv-VanDykTV
- If prompted, enter the four digit code displayed on the TV.
Zoom - Conference Room:
- Press the “Option” button on the TV remote. Wait a minute. This will bring up the internal Windows 10 computer.
- Use the wireless keyboard on the table to sign in (the password is “password”)
- Turn on the wireless microphone on the table. Press and hold the power button.
- If the light is blinking green, the microphone is OFF
- If the light is solid blue, the microphone is ON
- Open the Zoom app on the TV and sign in using your Google account.
- Once you are signed into Zoom, start your session. You might need to adjust the video and microphone input sources.
- Optional: Use the Hudley app on the TV to adjust the camera’s field of view as needed.
HDMI Cable - Connecting a PC:
- Use the small table next to the TV. Connect your PC to the HDMI cable hanging from the TV.
- Change the TV input to HDMI-2. This is the input for the additional HDMI cable.
When Done:
- If you signed into your Google account, be sure to sign out when you are done so others coming behind you don’t have access to your email.
- Turn off the Microphone: press and hold the power button. The light should go to a blinking green light.
- Turn off the TV: press the red button on the remote.
